Villa in Greece One of Airbnb’s Most Sought-After Properties

Airbnb has revealed properties around the world that are the ideal wishlist of most of its users, and one of them is in Greece.
From a five-bed jungle paradise on the northeast coast of Mexico to a stunning designer micro-chalet in Quebec, the popular platform has published a list of its most sought-after properties, including a house on the island of Evia (Euboea) in Greece.
The villa, in the village of Vassiliko (also known as Lefkanti), is just an hour’s drive from Athens airport. The property accommodates up to eight people and offers panoramic sea views.

The Airbnb website describes the villa in Greece: “Meraki Beach House 2 is a single story (4 bedroom, 3 bathroom-2 ensuite), seafront luxury apartment, for max 8 people, with direct 2min access to a private beach. The property is located in a serene surrounding in front of the sea, 67min drive away from Athens Airport. The apartment enjoys a panoramic seaview, is brand new (constructed in 2021) and is professionally designed & decorated. Contemporary modern design, brings together comfort and elegance. Relax – Gaze at the sea – Indulge in a swim.”
Vassiliko is a port and beach in Chalkida, Evia in the Central Greek region of the country. The beach has previously been awarded the blue flag, certifying its excellent waters.
During the summer months, Vassiliko attracts many visitors, with many of them coming to enjoy the cafeterias, tavernas, and restaurants located along the beach. In addition to the beach of Vassiliko, which is over a mile long, there are beaches in Linovrochi, Agios Andreas, and Vourlaki.
Archaeological excavations that took place in 1964 by the British Archaeological School revealed the archaeological site of Xiropolis, located east of the village. These excavations were completed in 2003 by Irene Lemos.
Attractions in the area include the “Memorial” in the area of Touba which dates to the early 10th century BC and was used as a house by the local ruler. It was then turned into a war memorial after his death.
In relation to the property in Greece, Airbnb also says: “There are various activities that you can enjoy while staying at our property. Ahead of your arrival we share our visitor guide with recommendations and local knowledge on what to do and see. Accessing most of these activities, sites and restaurants require[s] a car or taxi. Closest village with amenities and restaurants is in 3km/5min drive, 45min walk.”
It also mentions day trips: “On Evia island you will find more than 350 beaches, and in your visitor guide you will find our recommendations on a selection of beaches in close distance from our property, in case you would like to plan excursions away from the property for half or a full day.”
